Each day the schedule for TV is slip into different segments. They are categorised into categories of Children, Daytime, Prime time and Evening. The audiences for these would be:-
Children is kids programmes that show in the early morning for yound children.
Daytime is split into morning and afternoon which is mainly for the elderly and young mothers.
Prime time which is late around about 6pm after the afternoon shows for families and before nine when the watershed stops.
Evening is for adults after 9pm when the watershed stops, the watershed is when adult content like sexual activity and language can be used
Soaps is said to be the most popular genre on TV, most soaps are showed after other soaps, you can tell its popular because its shown in prime time.
